Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last updated: November 2025

Vehicle delivery is one of the core services of Papp Trading Company Kft. We coordinate door-to-door transport across the European Union using a network of licensed specialist car transporters. This policy outlines how shipping works, the timing you can expect, and what is included.

Coverage

We arrange delivery from any address within the EU to any address within the EU. The most frequent corridors are Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Deliveries outside the EU are quoted on request.

Carriers

We work only with licensed and insured specialist car transport companies, predominantly using enclosed trailers for high-value vehicles and open transporters for standard vehicles. Carrier choice is communicated in your transport offer.

Lead time

For most EU routes, delivery is completed within 5 to 15 business days from the date the vehicle is ready for collection at origin. Specific routes (Northern Europe to Hungary, Spain to Hungary) may be slightly longer. We provide an estimated pickup window with each booking and a tracking update on dispatch.

Costs

Transport is quoted on a per-vehicle, per-route basis depending on distance, vehicle size, trailer type and current market rates. The quote is binding once accepted in writing. There are no hidden fees: ferry crossings, motorway tolls, and standard route diversions are included.

Insurance

All transports include carrier liability insurance covering the declared value of the vehicle for the duration of the transit, up to standard CMR limits. For high-value vehicles we recommend additional insurance, which we can arrange.

Customs and documentation

For movements within the EU no customs procedures apply. For movements crossing the EU external border, we handle the export and import customs declarations and provide the necessary documents (CMR, COC, EC certificate of conformity where required, original title and registration documents).

Pickup and delivery process

The carrier contacts the pickup address 24 hours before collection to confirm the exact slot. A condition report and photographs are taken at pickup and delivery; you are invited to sign the delivery note only after inspecting the vehicle.

Delays

Estimated delivery times are based on normal operating conditions. Delays may occur due to weather, traffic, port disruption, customs hold-ups or carrier reorganisation. We will notify you of any material delay as soon as it is known.

Damage at delivery

Any visible damage must be noted on the delivery document at the moment of handover and reported to us in writing within 24 hours, with photographs. We will then file the claim with the carrier on your behalf. Damage reported later is more difficult to attribute and may be excluded from the carrier insurance.
